Founder & Principal, Nick Ochi
Type II Partners is an entrepreneur-led business, backed by a team of committed, experienced, and well-resourced investors. Our goal is to offer an attractive transition for the owner of a successful business and to then lead operations into the next generation. We can move quickly to evaluate and purchase a company, providing flexible deal terms that meet the sellers' personal goals and needs.
Type II is led by Nick Ochi. Nick grew up in a small business family outside of Los Angeles, where he learned business lessons on long car rides, at the dinner table, and throughout his upbringing. These lessons often centered on the challenges of maintaining a good team, the value of customer service, and the rewards that come with ownership.
In his early career, Nick worked for several large and small businesses across various industries and regions, focusing mainly on revenue generation. He recently graduated with his MBA from the University of Virginia. Nick is supported by his wife and better half - Adriana - and enjoys good food, good sports, and type two fun in the outdoors.
